Description
earring Maker was a series of figure sketches I produced for the Turquoise man painting.
The last one was striking enough to choose to create a mixed media piece. The figure is half my personal goal for my body physique and the other half is amalgamations of the men in my life. Men with the command attention with a look or spoken word. The man is also a jeweler skilled in creating gems and earrings. And like the Navajo counterpart of Gambler, this man will elevate those who support his efforts but will quickly destroy his enemies both real and imaginary. The skin tones are created with orange and blue color pencils softened with water colors and highlighted with white acrylic and sealed with high gloss embedded with silver dust from my work bench. High saturation and a limited color palette with monochromatic frame and outer matte frame this unnumbered original.
