Morning Song

I woke up on morning in Lewis’s castle one morning and a guest took a picture. I used what they captured as a study for this painting. I imagine a Navajo woman a pianist getting ready for a performance far from home and yet somehow, she is comforted in the melody and the familiar warmth of the sun.
