This weaving is being forged by math and careful planning. Up until recently I always used my eye and the yarn to determine the WIP and dimensions of a particular piece. But since im running near the end of the materials I’ve stocked piled for this year’s projects I had to make calculated decisions and accurately estimate my yarn usage. Universals formulas and my notes of past weavings proved useful in setting up. This weaving is ambitious, I’m going to combine Tapestry twill, 3 color twill patterns with complex twills. And for those that have never seen a complex twill, it’s the intermittent combining two or more different 4 shaft twill counts together to create pattern aberrations that can only be woven by hand counting every line or a jacquard machine. So stayed tuned to see what I weave. Unfortunately, my loom is too narrow for the weaving so I’ll have to make some modifications but I can temporarily set up using a gravity weight set-up.
