Solar Flare

Solar Flare is a Tie dyed and over dyed Sun Cape/Shawl that uses a whimsical medium weight tercel twill weave. The Feels like a rayon when dry but when wet the fabric tightens and swell into a stiff twill. The hem is tailored for a neat finish and over dyed with orange acid. The bordered and center are tie dyed in my established style. The item is hallmarked.

The contrast of orange and indigo portray the comic dance of light and dark and how seemly random happenings and patterns will someday create life and planets.

Description

Sun capes and Shawls are unisex utility items that can be used in a variety of ways most commonly as a headband, head wrap, turban, veil, shoulder wrap, neckerchiefs, belt or even bags. The use is totally up to the wearer. I use it many times as sun protection and to prevent heatstroke by wetting the fabric with water. Most of these items are created from a story and individually crafted and finished but still holds to the story that inspired the item.
