Sometimes when I buy cloth for commissioned outfits, I always look for remnants and interesting cloth. During one outing I found this fabric. MY grandmother’s favorite Pendleton had this color scheme which is similar to Central American and Indonesian cultures. The weave is irregular Warp faced diagonals twill made for upholstery applications. I tailored the hems and embroidered my hallmark. I love the color and the drape and believe it will make a good addition to any household.

Sun capes and Shawls are unisex utility items that can be used in a variety of ways most commonly as a headband, head wrap, turban, veil, shoulder wrap, neckerchiefs, belt or even bags. The use is totally up to the wearer. I use it many times as sun protection and to prevent heatstroke by wetting the fabric with water. Most of these items are created from a story and individually crafted and finished but still holds to the story that inspired the item.
