Not a Rock
$400.00
About 500 years ago, All over the Americas, a special technique developed from the finer weaves off the looms of the ancestors. The weaving was treated either to resist dye or take up. Some were painted using yucca brushes and hollow reeds. This is one such textile using a tube and a wet cloth to allow the dye to create a background.
Suitable for framing to match most decors “Not a Rock” is a contemporary scene finding lesser known petroglyphs and textile patterns on a piece of cloth instead of a geological canvas.
